Smartwater presents The Platform, the newest addition to the Lakme Fashion Week this year. The Platform presented three designers to show case their designs at the Lakme Fashion Week Winter Festive 2018. The theme for the designers were “Clouds”. Each designer had different ideas on how they wanted to present their garments.

Kanika Goyal presents her collection of edgy silhouettes with graphic art that is inspired by the clouds. For the designer the theme resonates with the brand. The designer used futuristic colours as well as saturated colours to bring out the digital rave vibe in her collection.

Shanti by Sakshi & Swasti Shah, showcased their collection ‘Megha-Malhar’ at Lakme Fashion Week Winter Festive 2018. The collection was curated from discarded fabrics. The motifs and designs are fused to imitate the texture and variance of clouds. They are all set in a dark intense mood bringing forth the collection Megha-Malhar.

Poochki by Ishanee & Anirudh showcased their collection Black Cloud. They took inspiration from the poem The Black Clouds by W. H. Davies. Keeping this in mind the designers used a darker colour palette with mostly blues and blacks. Stepping away from the usual they do, the designers decided to hand paint the clouds. Their collection also has artsy strokes to it, giving the garments a distinctive look.

At the end of the show Soha Ali Khan walked the ramp for all three designers. Her look was an amalgamation of the three designers’ work styles. Her outfit was in shades of blue and grey representing water and clouds (the theme). Soha wore an organza top by Poochki, Kasara silk skirt by Shanti and modern Japanese inspired jacket with stone work on it by Kanika Goyal.

Their collections were different yet all united by the theme clouds.
