This is not to be compared with the likes of a 5 Star hotel Sunday Brunch but its filling, offers something for every palate and is definitely value for money!
We went for the Sunday Brunch. Despite being quite large, it was nearly full. We were one of tables with older children, mostly the ‘Dive’ was full of large groups of people in their twenties and thirties, all having fun. Good (and loud) English pop music was being played. Liked the space, which made the most of the outside – well-lit with natural light.
There are many options for the brunch which was good to see. The regular brunch was only Rs 699 per head, add on unlimited sangria and beer for another Rs 400 and if you want to really enjoy a drink, add on the unlimited beer, sangria, IMFL and cocktail package for Rs 700 more. So in our local lingo, it’s completely ‘paisa vasool’ or as my Punjabi husband says: ‘SST’! (SST being short for Sundar, Sasta, Tikau – Good and Reasonable, in this case).
Mocktails – cutely bottled – Blue Lagoon and Virgin Mojito, immersed in buckets of ice at the buffet table
Appetisers – help yourself to Chinese veg and non-veg ones, quite an assortment and you can choose hot ones off the menu which are brought to the table. We opted for Chicken Tikkas. From the buffet table, I had hummus wrapped in cucumber – which was on a toothpick! Rather yummy!
Salad Bar and Soup – there were many veggies and dressings to make your own salad. Also a soup on offer.
Anda Bhurjee – A live counter looking like a road side stall where you could get it made your style and eat with pao
Live Tikki Counter – with vegetarian tikki, chicken cutlet and fish cutlet – hot as tasty, with pao and fresh naan, if you want it. I had seconds of it – doused with the Bira hot sauce
The buffet lunch itself had pulao, noodles, dal, a veggie, a boneless chicken curry and a Chinese fish item
Desserts – there were several to choose from – as many as 10-12 including a chocolate fountain with Oreo cookies (I didn’t try any as I’m very fussy about my dessert)
We enjoyed our meal and appreciated the good service.
This is not to be compared with the likes of a 5-Star hotel Sunday Brunch but it’s filling, offers something for every palate and is definitely value for money. Enjoyed the lively buzz and the happy vibe.
