Plum by Bent Chair, Third Floor, Trade View Building, Kamala Mills Compound, Senapati Bapat Marg, Lower Parel, Mumbai
Open from 12 noon to 1 am, all days of the week
A long and beautifully appointed, welcoming space greets you when you are ushered into Plum by Bent Chair, a new Oriental restaurant. Contemporary design, plum-coloured interiors, lots of plants and an opulent feel.
Located on the top floor of the very happening Oasis City in Kamala Mills, it offers a good view of the changing cityscape of Worli. Plum by Bent Chair shares location with Lord of the Drinks and Rocky Star Cocktail Bar.
The tables are very well-decked-up with interesting glassware and black steel stemware.
We tucked into:
- Dimsums – Shanghai Pork Dumpling – excellent
- Sushi – Salmon Spicy mayo Uramaki – good helping and just right!
- Small Plates – Plum Golden Fish Steak – tasted good but the red colour!!! (eye roll)
- Misu Fried Rice – a good end the meal, flavoursome and mild
We utilised our Zomato Gold membership to have the 2+2 on drinks. They have a variety of interesting oriental style cocktails, we chose a Plum and Passion (rum, vodka and passionfruit) for me and a Plum Fusion Sangria for my lunch companion.
It was a fun experience with good service and great food in a lovely space.
Each table is adorned by a leaflet which informs you everything around you is available for sale as this is India’s first retail restaurant. And along with the food and bar menu, you are given a retail menu. Bent Chair is an interior brand and the items at the restaurant looked quite amazing. While we ate we saw customers for the furniture check out the wares on offer.
