Anushree Reddy’s muse for her was “Sitara”. She is a modern day bride with her feet on the ground and her eyes in the skies. She incorporated this idea into her bridal collection for the Lakme Fashion Week Winter Festive 2018.
The combination of romanticism and femininity of “Sitara” mesmerizingly came together to give the audience a visual delight. Elaborate techniques, beautiful colours and drapes were seen throughout the collection.
The designer made her collection even more beautiful by adding 3D fleur, butterflies, leaves and fictional characters as appliqués to create eccentric designs. Giving the audience wedding dressing goals.
The mermaid silhouette along with multiple layering made the collection absolutely stunning. The element of ruffles was seen throughout. The designer experimented with the cholis, with a range of backless and haltered versions.
The grandeur of the ensembles was heightened by the tone-on- tone thread work, highlighted with delicate hand dyed beads to create masterfully rendered silhouettes.
The show stopper was none other than the gorgeous diva Malaika Arora. She was seen sporting a lemon/green scalloped-edged, ornate lehenga worn with a deep ‘V’ neck blouse and ruffled dupatta which was a definite trend-setter.
Anushree Reddy’s bridal and festive line made sure to showcase the perfect combination of style, elegance, energy, enthusiasm and glamour.

The collection was an ode to richness and glory. The “Merlot” collection is perfect for the upcoming festive season.
The designers made their collection highly glamorous and innovative. The main highlight of the duo’s designs was the tousled mixture of fluidity, blended glittering variety of motifs. The fabrics used were silks and georgettes to create a richness.
The line showcased an array of hues such as burgundy, beige, maroon and black making their garments great for Evening Wear or for a Cocktail party. The contemporary cuts, embellished jackets, peplum blouses, to loose embroidered kurtas, the duo presented a versatile range of silhouettes.
Looking great on the runway was the cropped blouse, striped skirt and poncho style jacket. One of the highlights of the collection was an artsy, asymmetrical, organza lehenga with a pleated, ruffled, blouse, which added a touch of pizzazz.
Men’s wear was stylishly elegant, with right touches of embellishments for the Sherwanis, bundgala jackets and bundies. The beige, ombré, pleated sherwani stood out among all the other silhouettes.
Making heads turn was the Bollywood actor Nushrat Bharucha. As she glided down the ramp in a black, embellished jacket with cascading detail, teamed with embroidered pants.
